Julee Yew-Crijns:
Julee is a full time yoga & acroyogi teacher. She has been teaching yoga for 13 years and acroyoga for a couple of years.
She was a gymnast and cheerleader in her teens and has always been participating and competing in games and sports since she was 11. In her 20’s she was a competitive wakeboarder and it was injury that led her to yoga. She tried acroyoga in 2009 and fell in love with it straight away. She especially love creating flows and icarian games.
She currently teaches acroyoga and yoga full time in Surrey and trains regularly with her teaching team and training partners.
Matt Hernandez-Green:
Matt thrives when those around him succeed. Growing up playing team sports instilled a strong sense in him for the power of bringing together people’s strengths to achieve more. As a young adult, his discovery of yoga began a journey that led to finding AcroYoga, bringing back that sense of connecting with others to achieve more together in his adult life.
Originally training in Sivananda yoga, Matt has explored and trained in a wide assortment of yoga styles, both dynamic and restorative, embracing the importance of moving the body in a variety of ways. He has practiced and trained this variety beyond yoga in the areas of floor work, handstands, AcroYoga, and partner acrobatics. He also enjoys mountain biking, swimming, hiking, and long walks with his dogs. Matt is particularly passionate about Thai yoga massage, having completed more than 220 training hours and equally as many in giving massage.
In teaching, Matt encourages his key values of commitment, gentleness, and patience in sharing his passions for movement with you. Leaning on his own transformative experiences that take us beyond just the skills of yoga and acrobatics, Matt is dedicated to building community by bringing people together, including helping to organise 4 festivals in the UK, including his own.
Joey Adams (Evolution Acrobatics & Yoga):
Joey’s life of movement began through surfing and skateboarding, quickly setting the foundations of body awareness.
It was injury that led Joey first to yoga, AcroYoga and standing acrobatics which offered not only recovery, but beautiful realisations of the path ahead and his natural ability to hold space, coach and teach.
The acrobatic element becoming a new platform for bodily expression and connection, and the yoga/therapeutic elements unlocking deeper body awareness, respect and care.
Joey is a qualified, highly experienced AcroYoga teacher and Power Yoga teacher.
Also a teacher of standing acrobatics through years of studying and learning from many teachers around the world.
Specialties include Icarian games, hand balancing and standing acrodance.
Through these wonderful practices it brings him untold joy to share his knowledge and experience with others, facilitating people to find better connections or even exceed their expectations of their capabilities - physically and mentally.
Expect technique focused tuition, detailed methodology and playful attributes. All in a supportive and positive environment.
Issy Denman:
Issy is a yoga, acro and handstand teacher currently based at a retreat centre near Cologne in Germany. I have over 6 years experience in the acro/yoga world and am always happy to welcome new faces into the addictive bubble that is acro!
I try to adapt my teaching to the individual - giving space for all learning types and coaching based on specific needs. My aim is to help people feel empowered in their practice - celebrating first time moments and encouraging students to trust in their own abilities.
I completed the Partner Acrobatics teacher training in 2020 and love to teach a bit of everything - L-basing flows, standing acrobatics, fun dancey stuff, handstands, icarian, pops and whips - I love the variety of feelings these different specialities can bring.
